Freeing a perf event can happen in several ways. A task
calls perf_event_exit_task() right before exiting. This helper
will detach all the events from the task context and queue their
removal through free_event() if they are child tasks. The task
also loses its context reference there.
Releasing the breakpoint slot from the constraint table is made
from free_event() that calls release_bp_slot(). We count the number
of breakpoints this task is running by looking at the task's
perf_event_ctxp and iterating through its attached events.
But at this time, the reference to this context has been cleaned up
already.
So looking at the event->ctx instead of task->perf_event_ctxp
to count the remaining breakpoints should solve the problem.
At least it would for child breakpoints, but not for parent ones.
If the parent exits before the child, it will remove all its
events from the context but free_event() will be called later,
on fd release time. And checking the number of breakpoints the
task has attached to its context at this time is unreliable as all
events have been removed from the context.
To solve this, we keep track of the list of per task breakpoints.
On top of it, we maintain our array of numbers of breakpoints used
by the tasks. We use the context address as a task id.
So, instead of looking at the number of events attached to a context,
we walk through our list of per task breakpoints and count the number
of breakpoints that use the same ctx than the one to be reserved or
released from the constraint table, and update the count on top of this
result.
In the meantime it solves a bad refcounting, it also solves a warning,
reported by Paul.

root's refs still == 1 in the tree when btrfs_del_root() deletes

This wasn't a problem before only because
btrfs_ioctl_snap_destroy() would commit the transaction before dropping

net: deliver skbs on inactive slaves to exact matches
Currently, the accelerated receive path for VLAN's will
drop packets if the real device is an inactive slave and
is not one of the special pkts tested for in
skb_bond_should_drop(). This behavior is different then
the non-accelerated path and for pkts over a bonded vlan.
For example,
vlanx -> bond0 -> ethx
will be dropped in the vlan path and not delivered to any
packet handlers at all. However,
bond0 -> vlanx -> ethx
and
bond0 -> ethx
will be delivered to handlers that match the exact dev,
because the VLAN path checks the real_dev which is not a
slave and netif_recv_skb() doesn't drop frames but only
delivers them to exact matches.
This patch adds a sk_buff flag which is used for tagging
skbs that would previously been dropped and allows the
skb to continue to skb_netif_recv(). Here we add
logic to check for the deliver_no_wcard flag and if it
is set only deliver to handlers that match exactly. This
makes both paths above consistent and gives pkt handlers
a way to identify skbs that come from inactive slaves.
Without this patch in some configurations skbs will be
delivered to handlers with exact matches and in others
be dropped out right in the vlan path.
I have tested the following 4 configurations in failover modes

gianfar: Revive the driver for eTSEC devices (disable timestamping)
Since commit cc772ab7cdcaa24d1fae332d92a1602788644f7a ("gianfar: Add
hardware RX timestamping support"), the driver no longer works on
at least MPC8313ERDB and MPC8568EMDS boards (and possibly much more
boards as well).
That's how MPC8313 Reference Manual describes RCTRL_TS_ENABLE bit:
Timestamp incoming packets as padding bytes. PAL field is set
to 8 if the PAL field is programmed to less than 8. Must be set
to zero if TMR_CTRL[TE]=0.
I see that the commit above sets this bit, but it doesn't handle
TMR_CTRL. Manfred probably had this bit set by the firmware for
his boards. But obviously this isn't true for all boards in the
wild.
Also, I recall that Freescale BSPs were explicitly disabling the
timestamping because of a performance drop.
For now, the best way to deal with this is just disable the
timestamping, and later we can discuss proper device tree bindings
and implement enabling this feature via some property.

Moving the tests to a separate file, feature-tests.mak and using a try-cc
function similar to the try-run in Kbuild.
This also makes the output more quiet as we can stop using the INTERMEDIATE
target to remove the .perf.dev.null file needed for some gcc versions where
/dev/null can't be used as the output file name.
As the tests get shorter by uninlining the source code used to test for
features, we can more properly use identation.
The feature tests itself can be made more clear and reused, like when trying to
see what is needed to have bfd_demangle.
We also get a bit closer to reusing scripts/Kbuild.include, reducing the
distance from the kernel build system.

FRV: Reinstate null behaviour for the GDB remote protocol 'p' command

remote protocol 'p' command (retrieve a single register value) prior to
commit 7ca8b9c0dafd ("frv: extend gdbstub to support more features of
gdb").
Before that, the 'p' command just returned an empty reply, which causes
gdb to then go and use the 'g' command. However, since that commit, the
'p' command returns an error string, which causes gdb to abort its
connection to the target.
Not all gdb versions are affected, some use try 'g' first, and if that
works, don't bother with 'p', and so don't see the error.
