8 The Ceph Foundation exists to enable industry members to collaborate
9 and pool resources to support the Ceph project community. The
10 Foundation provides an open, collaborative, and neutral home for
11 project stakeholders to coordinate their development and community
12 investments in the Ceph ecosystem.
14 The Ceph Foundation is organized as a directed fund under the Linux
15 Foundation. Premier and General Member organizations contribute a
16 yearly fee to become members. Associate members are educational
17 institutions or government organizations and are invited to join at no

84 * Coordinating outreach or marketing
85 * Meeting regularly to discuss Foundation activities, the status of
86 the Ceph project, and overall project strategy
87 * Voting on any decisions or matters before the board
89 The Ceph Foundation board is not responsible for and does not have any
90 direct control over the technical governance of Ceph. Development and
91 engineering activities are managed through traditional open source
92 processes and are overseen by the :ref:`csc`. For more
